When a custom application makes sense
A custom application is worth discussing when your workflow cannot be handled well by an existing tool, or when information needs to move reliably between staff, customers and other systems. Start with the process you want to improve, rather than a long feature list.
Examples include a customer portal for requests and account information, a product catalogue connected to your stock system, or an internal dashboard that brings operational data together. We clarify who uses the system, what they need to complete and which integrations are available.
A focused first release
The starter budget covers one agreed workflow and up to five core screens. During scoping, we identify the essential screens, permissions, data and acceptance criteria. Additional workflows, complex migrations and production integrations are quoted separately.
Design, development and review follow the agreed scope. Before launch, the core journey is tested with realistic examples. Hosting, maintenance and third-party subscriptions are discussed separately so the project estimate is easier to assess.
Relevant work: Materia Home
Materia Home combines an interior materials catalogue, filters, customer accounts, Micro.bg product synchronisation and Econt delivery integration. It is an example of how a website can support an existing business process rather than operate as a disconnected brochure.
The project is shown in our portfolio. Its features illustrate a wider custom build; they are not all included in the web application starter price.
